Pregnancy Ultrasound

Pregnancy Ultrasound
Pregnancy ultrasound uses safe sound waves to create images of your baby and check their growth, development and well-being throughout your pregnancy.

3D/4D Ultrasound
3D ultrasound is an advanced imaging technique that uses sound waves to create detailed, three-dimensional images of the fetus, providing a more realistic view of the baby's surface, features, and anatomy.Unlike standard 2D ultrasound, which produces flat, black-and-white images showing outlines and internal structures, 3D ultrasound creates a three-dimensional image that provides a clearer and more realistic view of the baby's surface and features.4D ultrasound adds real-time movement to the 3D image, allowing you to see the baby's movements as a live video.

Viability Scan
A viability scan is an early pregnancy ultrasound performed to assess the location and development of a pregnancy and to check for signs of fetal cardiac activity when appropriate for the stage of pregnancy. It can help provide important information about early pregnancy and guide further care.

Nuchal Translucency (NT) Scan
The NT scan is a first-trimester ultrasound performed during approximately 11–14 weeks of pregnancy. It measures the fluid-filled space at the back of the baby's neck and also assesses early fetal development, growth and anatomy. NT measurement can be used as part of screening for certain chromosomal conditions and should be interpreted together with other screening information when applicable.

Mid-Trimester Anomaly scan
The mid-trimester anomaly scan, also known as the detailed anatomy scan or 20-week scan, is a comprehensive ultrasound examination usually performed around 18–22 weeks of pregnancy. It provides a detailed assessment of your baby's growth and developing anatomy, including the brain, face, spine, heart, abdomen and limbs, along with the placenta and amniotic fluid.

Fetal Echocardiography
Fetal echocardiography is a specialized ultrasound examination that provides a detailed assessment of your baby's heart during pregnancy. It evaluates the structure, function, rhythm and major blood vessels of the fetal heart and can help identify certain congenital heart abnormalities before birth. A detailed cardiac examination is typically performed around 18–22 weeks of pregnancy, although the timing may vary depending on the clinical indication.

Fetal Neurosonography
Fetal neurosonography is a specialized ultrasound examination that provides a detailed assessment of your baby's brain, head and central nervous system during pregnancy. It uses advanced ultrasound imaging to carefully evaluate the developing brain structures and may be recommended when a detailed assessment is needed following routine screening or when there are specific clinical concerns.

Fetal Growth and well-being studies
Fetal growth and well-being studies are ultrasound examinations performed during pregnancy to assess your baby's growth, development and overall well-being. These studies may include fetal measurements, amniotic fluid assessment, fetal movements, placental evaluation and Doppler blood-flow studies when clinically indicated.

Fetal Doppler Studies
Fetal Doppler studies are specialized ultrasound examinations that use Doppler technology to assess blood flow through selected blood vessels of the mother, placenta and baby. They can provide important information about placental function and fetal circulation and are commonly used when additional monitoring of fetal growth and well-being is clinically required.

Multiple Pregnancy Clinic
A multiple pregnancy occurs when you are expecting two or more babies, such as twins or triplets. Multiple pregnancies require careful and regular monitoring because the babies may have different growth patterns and can have pregnancy-related risks that require specialized assessment. Our multiple pregnancy clinic provides comprehensive ultrasound evaluation and monitoring to support the health and well-being of both mother and babies throughout pregnancy.
Fetal Diagnostic Interventions

Amniocentesis
Amniocentesis is a specialized prenatal diagnostic procedure in which a small sample of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby is collected using a thin needle under continuous ultrasound guidance. The sample can be tested for certain chromosomal and genetic conditions and other conditions when clinically indicated. It is generally performed after 16 weeks of pregnancy, with the exact timing depending on the clinical situation.

Chorionic Villus Sampling
Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) is a specialized prenatal diagnostic procedure used to test for certain chromosomal and genetic conditions during early pregnancy. A small sample of tissue called chorionic villi is collected from the placenta under continuous ultrasound guidance and sent to a laboratory for genetic testing. CVS is usually performed between 11 and 14 weeks of pregnancy, depending on the clinical situation.

Multi fetal Reduction.
Multifetal reduction is a specialized fetal medicine procedure considered in selected multiple pregnancies when reducing the number of fetuses may be medically appropriate. The procedure is carefully planned after detailed ultrasound assessment, counselling and discussion of the potential benefits, risks and available alternatives. The aim is to support safer pregnancy management while taking the individual pregnancy and family's circumstances into consideration.
Screening Tests for Aneuploidy

First trimester Combined Test
The First Trimester Combined Test is a prenatal screening assessment performed during early pregnancy, usually between 11 weeks and 13 weeks + 6 days. It combines an ultrasound examination, including nuchal translucency (NT) measurement, with maternal blood tests and relevant pregnancy information to estimate the chance of certain chromosomal conditions.

Second trimester Quadruple test
The Second Trimester Quadruple Test, also known as the Quad Screen, is a maternal blood test used during the second trimester to estimate the chance of certain chromosomal conditions and fetal structural abnormalities. The test measures four substances in the mother's blood — alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), unconjugated estriol (uE3) and inhibin A. It is generally performed between 15 and 22 weeks of pregnancy, with screening often most accurate around 16–18 weeks.

Non-Invasive Prenatal Screening (NIPS)
Non-Invasive Prenatal Screening (NIPS), also known as Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT), is an advanced prenatal screening test performed using a blood sample from the mother. It analyzes cell-free DNA circulating in the maternal bloodstream, most of which comes from the placenta, to estimate the chance of certain chromosomal conditions. NIPS can generally be performed from around 10 weeks of pregnancy and is a screening test, not a diagnostic test.

Pre-eclampsia Screening
Pre-eclampsia screening is an assessment performed during pregnancy to identify women who may have an increased chance of developing pre-eclampsia, particularly preterm pre-eclampsia. First-trimester screening can combine maternal characteristics and medical history with blood pressure measurement, uterine artery Doppler and a placental biomarker such as PlGF. This assessment helps identify pregnancies that may benefit from closer monitoring and preventive management.
